Origin & Tasting Notes

This oil features a mild, sweet fruit character, making it especially well suited to dishes with white fish, asparagus, or even chocolate.

Originating from the Extremadura and Salamanca regions of Spain, the Manzanilla Cacereña olive variety is cultivated and pressed at the Artajo estate, giving the oil its authentic flavour profile.

Tasting notes:

An intense, complex aroma dominated by notes of freshly cut grass, sweet fruit, including banana and apple, and spices with hints of pepper and liquorice.

On the palate, it reveals a subtle sweetness and a very gentle, delicate bitterness, creating a refined, well-balanced flavour profile.

Artajo is one of the world's leading organic olive oil producers, recognised as the Best Organic Olive Oil Producer in the World's Best Olive Oils ranking. This recognition reflects the company's commitment to nature, years of dedication, and deep respect for the land.

Since 1998, Artajo has planted more than 250,000 olive trees and has remained committed to organic farming for over two decades. The estate has preserved its historic terraces and implemented an advanced drip irrigation system that helps conserve both water and soil.

Olive pits and solar energy are used to power production, allowing the company to operate with minimal reliance on external energy sources. Aromatic flowers planted between the olive trees attract natural predators of crop pests, while birdhouses and dedicated wildlife areas help maintain biodiversity across the estate. Today, the Artajo estate has a negative carbon footprint, with each newly planted tree absorbing more CO₂ than is emitted throughout production.

Here, tradition, innovation, and respect for nature come together to ensure that every drop of olive oil reflects the land from which it comes.
